Our Story

We are Bugema Ebenezer Sacco - Busiika

Given the Christian background of Bugema community mainly Adventism and togetherness developed by Bugema fraternity, motivated by the wish to maintain and strengthen those relationships. Cognizant of individual qualities, abilities, experience and expertise and realizing the benefits that corporation can hold the cohort, was desirous of forming a SACCO named BUGEMA EBENEZER CO-OPERATIVE SAVING AND CREDIT SOCIETY LIMITED which operates in Luwero district and the surrounding areas of Uganda.

To sustainably facilitate collective access to cheap and improved financial services and products to members to sustainably improve their livelihoods.

To be a leading financial institution in provision of affordable services to the community.

Our Mission

To promote a saving and investment culture in community by providing sustainable financial services.

Background

Bugema Ebenezer SACCO is a member owned institution founded in 2004 and registered as a SACCO.

It operates in Luwero district and the surrounding areas The main individuals behind the formation of the SACCO were

  5. 5)Mr. Byakuno Wilson

On 31/08/2004 the co-operative was registered as a member co-operative owned by shares and governed by the board of trustees under registration number 7110 RCS. Its first general meeting was held on 16/12/2005 at Bugema university vocation school and its first location was at kiziri town way in 2004 to 2008 when it was shifted to Busiika town courtesy of the board comprising of Mr. Luyimbazi Tonny and Dr Byakuno Wilson to mention but a few. The co-operative has a growing membership and by the year 2024 it had a capacity of 3000 membership who are mainly engaged in agriculture and several other businesses.

SACCO significant objectives

To sustainably facilitate collective access to cheap and improved financial services and products to members to sustainably improve their livelihoods.

Other objectives

To uplift the standards of the people of Kalagala sub county and neighboring areas.

To eradicate poverty through provision of affordable financial services for investments.

To eradicate hunger among people through provision of affordable financial services to cater for agriculture.

      In day today running of the SACCO business all stake holders must be honestly to each other most especially the staff when offering their services to members, the same to the board when executing their duties

      Every activity of the SACCO is done in right and reliable way in order to achieve the SACCO objectives and goals

      In executing SACCO business, everything done should be carried out with a lot of respect both to members, management and board.

      While executing SACCO business everything should be done with a lot of commitment in other wards both management and board should be committed when doing SACCO business

      Both management and board are always free and open for adjustment in any activity of the SACCO to allow the members enjoy the services of the SACCO
